Using Web Analytics on Alpha Flow

Modified on Thu, 12 Dec at 1:32 PM

Alpha Flow has web analytics integrations with several analytics providers to allow you to gain better insights to how your customers are using the booking, registration and shop pages. Some of these integrations allow conversion tracking.

You can find the Analytics section of Alpha Flow in Venue Settings > Your Venue Name > Website Settings > Website Name. Click on the Analytics service(s) you use and tick the “Enabled” box to turn it on.

Google Analytics

This is the original Google Analytics, prior to the introduction of GTag. To use Google Analytics, simply enter your Tracking ID. This will track purchase events.

You can also link the tracking events to your website’s domain by entering it in the primary domain box.

Google TagManager

TagManager (GA3) requires a different initialisation script, so if you are using TagManager, disable the GA4 analytics and enable the TagManager analytics. If you are unsure of which one to use, if the measurement ID starts with GTM- then use TagManager analytics, otherwise use GA4.

Google GA4

To use Google Analytics 4 you need to enter your tracking Measurement ID. As with Google Analytics, you can link the events to your website’s domain by entering it in the Primary Domain box.

You can also track conversions to measure the performance of google ads by ticking the Track Conversions box. This will send a conversion event when the customer makes a purchase, including the booking or web shop basket amount.

NOTE: You cannot use more than one type of Google's Web Analytics, so only one of the above settings can be enabled. We recommend using the latest version, GA4.

Meta Pixel

To use Meta analytics, enter your Facebook/Instagram Pixel ID.

You can track conversions to measure the performance of your Facebook or Instagram ads by ticking the Track Conversions box. This will send a Purchase event including the booking or web shop basket amount.

Useproof

To add the Useproof integration, enter your Useproof account ID.

You can also (optionally) configure webhooks in the Useproof admin console to track webshop purchases and web booking completions. Once the webhooks have been set up, you need to enter the webhook URL into the relevant box.

TikTok

To use TikTok analytics, enter your Pixel ID and Name.

You can track conversions to measure the performance of your TikToks by ticking the Track Conversions box. This will send a Purchase event including the booking or web shop basket amount.

Successful bookings made on Alpha Flow will show a page with the URL https://flow.alphatiming.co.uk/[Website Name]/book/complete followed by a unique booking ID.
