Kiosks Settings

With Alpha Flow each participant in an activity is required to complete pre-event registration where their details are collected, a customer profile is created (or added to if already existing) and waivers are completed. Alpha Flow allows customers to register on their own device at their convenience via a virtual web kiosk. 


However, a small minority of users may not have a device they can use or have the capability to do that on their own. Instead they can register at your Venue on a physical kiosk, usually in the form of a tablet PC. 


You can create a Kiosk for each Resource or Reception Point but all Kiosks at a Venue need to have the same customer information fields and header texts as this information will also be used online by the virtual kiosk. 


The images, Welcome Message and Final Instructions are not used online and are only shown for physical kiosks. Each Kiosk will have a unique code which you can use to log in a physical kiosk with your chosen device and will display the chosen images and messages.

To set up a kiosk click the Edit button next to an existing kiosk to edit it. 


You will then need to give your Kiosk a name and password. You only need one Kiosk configuration per venue which can be used by multiple devices.

 

When customers registers, if they have not been to the venue before they need to fill in their details. What you chose to collect can be set here. To make the information compulsory tick the “Required” box. 


You can also tick whether signatures are required. The customer will need to use their finger or stylus to sign. 


Note: All Kiosks at your venue must have these same settings. 

You can also set a background image for a physical kiosk. Check your devices display size to add an appropriately dimensioned image.

A physical kiosk will start on the Welcome Page. 


You can write some wording for your welcome page here. 


Your Venue logo will be displayed above this text and each subsequent page that collects information from the customer.


You can change the text of the heading for each of the subsequent pages and questions here. This will be shown both online and on the physical kiosk. 


Note: Again all Kiosks at your venue must have these same settings. 

At the end of the registration process the physical kiosk will then display the Final Instructions screen. Here you can configure some final text or instructions once the customer has completed registering. e.g.


"Thank you for registering, please make your way to the changing rooms"


Each time a person registers they will be asked to confirm their contact preferences.

 

Use this text to ask if the customer would like their Karting results emailed to them (Only available on Timed Karting Events) and if they consent to further marketing. 


Note: Again all Kiosks at your venue must have these same settings. 

You can also add some images to the welcome page on a physical kiosk which change after the set number of seconds.


Click Create/Save to save these settings. 



You are now ready for people to register online and to set the kiosk up on your chosen device.
