Products can be activities or items you sell at your venue. Click the Add Product button to create a new product or click on the name of an existing product to edit it.

You can add a few words into the Description box to explain what the product is and what it should be used for. This description may appear on receipts or email confirmations.

From the drop down you can select what Tax Rate should apply to that product and then set the standard price for one unit of that product.

Pricing Mode

You can choose a Pricing Mode between standard or fixed. Standard is Price per each unit i.e. price per person.

Fixed is price per total quantity of a product i.e. if you have 1-10 people, you pay £100,11-20 you pay £200 regardless of how many people are actually taking part e.g.  If the customer has 9 people, they will pay £100, if the customer has 12 people they'll pay £200.

You can then set and individual price for additional products over the maximum quantity amount. So in the below example, 11 people would be £41 (6-10 is £40 + £1 per additional participant).

Prices have a start and (optional) end date.  This means that if you plan to change your pricing, you can set the new prices up ahead of time and specify the date when the price change will automatically come into affect.

You will first need to choose whether the dates are to be applied based on when the product was purchased, or based on the date of the event the purchase is related to. For non-product events we will use the purchase date in place of the event date. Typically you will want to use "Event/purchase date".

Pricing Overrides

You can override the standard price based on a combination of the day of the week and the time of day in addition to any tags the customer may have. This allows you to configure peak and off-peak pricing, varying pricing between week day and weekend events, changing the price in the evening to cover additional lighting costs and so on.

These prices also have start and end dates so you can have fine grained control over when they are applied. For example, if you use floodlights during the winter months you can set to use a different price for the product between the hours of darkness i.e. 17:00 - 22:00.

Additional Product Information

Set the Accounting Category, Accounting Department and Nominal Code if needed.
Product Images must be no bigger than 160px by 160px and are only needed for items that will be shown on the POS or Web Shop.

Finally you need to set which category applies to this product.
