Using the Corporate Garage Module remotely (via a webpage)

Modified on Thu, 21 Aug at 9:48 AM

You can connect to the garage module remotely via web page as long as the remote device is using the same network as the timing PC. This is useful if you're timing PC is located away from your garage and workshop location.

To set up a remote connection, please see this article on Accessing the Timing App remotely (via a Web Page). You will also need to have configured the Garage module on the Timing PC first.

The Overview page

The  overview page shows you the status of all your karts. You can select multiple karts to set their basic safety checks completion and also to record circuit safety inspections via the blue buttons in the top right of the page.

Selecting a Kart from the list on the left will show more details for that Kart and allow you to record notes, servicing and component changes as well as the history and lap/hour count for the kart.

Clicking the Print button in the top right will allow you to print the kart's history and the Edit Details button allows you to change whether the kart is available for use, its name and number, transponder, kart type plus its chassis and engine numbers.

Settings Page

The settings page allows you to adjust the average number of laps per tank of fuel for each kart and to add any new karts.

It's also possible to add new service items or components for the Karts. A service item is something that needs to be inspected over several intervals e.g. chain tension, brake pad inspection, tyre tread depth etc, and components are things that can be changed i.e. chains, tyres, air filters etc. The intervals can be the number of laps or the number of hours.

Note: It is not possible to add any new mechanics remotely. This must be done on the Timing PC.
