Introducing the Alpha Timing System

The Alpha Timing software is a modern, sophisticated timing package that has been designed with the primary goal of making the timekeeper’s job as simple as possible, whilst still offering the flexibility to run any imaginable meeting format.  Whilst events can be manually set up, the timing software has been fully integrated with the booking software, which allows an event to be prepared in a matter of minutes.  

When you first load the Alpha Timing application it will check the User Licence. This requires an internet connection so if you do not have an internet connection it will say your licence is invalid and will not load the application. 

Once the application loads it will default to the Timing Module. The timing application is laid out as follows:

1. This shows who the application is licence to.
2. Shows the current version number of the installed software
3. The Navigation Bar allows you to switch between different modules (i.e. Timing, Championship Tables) which are explained below. 
4. This shows your connected devices and their statuses. 
5. The main panel which will show which module of the timing you are using. 

Modules

Timing Module When you open the application it will start on the Timing Module. This is where you import and time an event or find previous events you have timed.

Championship Module The Championship Module stores all your championship tables.

Garage Module (Corporate Fixed Transponder Karts only) If you use fixed transponders on your karts, you can use the Garage Module. This stores a record of each karts use and can be used as a maintenance log.

Settings Module The settings module holds all the settings for the timing, including Promoter settings, Tracks, Classes, Printers, Points, Penalties, Transponders, Displays, Importing, Decoder and remotely connected Devices.

Fastest Laps Module This list the fastest laps for each class of kart on all track configurations.

Tools Module The Tools module allows you to create and restore backups of the Timing Database, run Loop analysis and connecting to an Alpha E-Flag Controller (if connected).

Notifications Module The Notification module will turn orange and show a count if there are any update messages.

TV Module The TV Module is where you can connect TV screens and create playlists to displaying timing information.
