Setting up an Alpha Flow Kiosk on Windows 11

Modified on Wed, 1 Oct at 11:24 AM

Windows Kiosk mode is a feature used to run only admin defined apps in full-screen. All other Windows functionality is locked and unavailable to the users. We recommend using the Single-app kiosk mode to automatically launch the Edge browser in full-screen mode. The user cannot switch to the desktop or open any other apps.

Create a Kiosk Mode account

From the Administrator account on the device, right-click the Start button and select settings. Then navigate to Accounts, then Other Users

Under the Kiosk section, click Get Started

Specify the kiosk account name to be created for the login to the Kiosk mode i.e. Alpha Kiosk

Click Next and then select the Microsoft Edge browser to launch in Kiosk mode.

Click next and then set the kiosk as an "Interactive display".

Enter the following URL https://ams.alphatiming.co.uk/registration and set the Restart Microsoft Edge option to 15 minutes.

Click Next to complete the setup. When you restart the computer, Windows will automatically sign in with the kiosk user account and open the Alpha Flow kiosk login page in full-screen browser mode. Use your kiosk login code and password to start the Kiosk.

If you need to exit the kiosk mode for any reason, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to login in to the Administrator account.
