Resources

Resources are places where activities can take place. These are effectively each activity area's diary, on which every activity booking is recorded. 

There are two resource types: room and circuit. Anything that will be using Alpha Timing Application must be set to Circuit. For everything else they should be set as a Room.  Give your Resource a Short name. This is shown in some of the menu’s drop downs to truncate the full name.  Configurations You can make multiple Configurations of a resource, for example, if you have multiple layouts for a circuit. Do not use this for separate circuits however; they should be set up as a resource of their own. For tracks, the code used here must match the code of the Track configuration in the Timing Application. Sequence You can then set what sequence (or order) it would appear in the booking diary, with 1 being furthers left and higher numbers on the right.  Default Arrival Time You can set a default arrival time required for a resource here prior to the activities start time.
Web Booking Times If you take online bookings you can set how often past the hour to make bookings in the diary.
Overlapping Resources If this resource overlaps with an existing resource i.e. you have two tracks, one downstairs and one upstairs, that you combine to form one large track; you can set which resource(s) to overlap.

This will prevent any bookings made into a resource, where another booking requires both resources or vice versa. Remember to add these to each resource that overlaps. 

Additional Products  

You can add additional Products specific to the resource too, like safety equipment etc. These products will be offered to customers booking any activity on this resource. Do not add products here that are specific to an activity as they will be offered on all activities using this resource. Those additional products can be added to the Activity Format. 

Breaks

You can add breaks or block off time into the resources diary too. This will then automatically recur  on the days and time you have chosen between the start and end date. You can also add multiple breaks if needed too. 

Appearance

You can configure the colour it appears in the diary as well as on your resource page too (as per the top of this page). Ticking Archive will hide the Resource from bookings.
