Customer Categories

Customer Categories in Alpha flow are a way to categorise the people who visit your venue. When configuring an activity, you can set limits on the number of participants in a specific customer category as well as which product to use for a particular customer category. For example you may want to limit the number of "Adults" in a specific Activity or charge "Juniors" a different price to another category. This can be configured in your Activity Formats, under the Customers and Pricing sections.

To create a new customer category click the Add Customer Category button.

Give your category a name. This is the same name that will be shown for online bookings (If available online).

Enter a pluralised name for the category here.

For Karting  Customers It is very important  that the code you use here matches the same code for the class in the timing system (and vice versa). This will help allocate the correct karts to the activity.  If you need help please contact the Support Team.

You can add a description of the customer category here if the name is not self explanatory. This will also be shown on the Online Booking diary (if available).

You can then configure the Minimum and Maximum ages for the customer category here. These are not compulsory but will help the system to flag drivers who do not meet these requirements when a participant registers for an event.

You can also configure the Minimum and Maximum height for the customer category. Again these are not compulsory.

Clicking Archive hides the category from selection. You can view it again by ticking the “Show Archived” tick box at the top of the list of categories.

Press Save to finish and update any changes you have made.
