Online Settings Page

Modified on Thu, 28 Mar at 11:30 AM

This is the first page that an entrant will see when they visit your club's personal page e.g. https://superone.alphatiming.co.uk/. This page is always public and will invite people to login or register prior to entering or purchasing anything if registration is open.

However if you set the registration slider to "No" then users will not be able to log in or register. You should provide some wording to display instead if you chose to close registration.

You can also provide some wording to show if entries for an event that has reached its maximum number of entries. This wording will appear under the 'sold out' label for an event which has sold out.

Presentation

The Presentation settings allow you to configure the appearance of your club online. You can set a colour for the background or upload a background image. This needs to be a JPEG file with maximum dimensions of 1920px by 1080px and should be no bigger than 300kb in size.

You can then add a header image to appear at the top of the Alpha portal. This will appear at the top of the public facing registration page. This should be a PNG file with maximum dimensions of 940px by 300px and the background of the PNG file should be transparent.

If a user clicks on the image, you can also set a website URL to send them to i.e. your club's own website.

You can then choose custom colours for the buttons, button text, highlight colours and the price labels. You can also choose to make the price bold if required.

Those who use the Alpha Racehub app can add a mobile App Header Image. This should be your logo and will appear throughout the mobile app. If supplied (recommended) it should be a PNG file with maximum dimensions of 940px by 300px and the background of the PNG file should be transparent.

Shop

If you sell any other kind of product in the Club Management system that isn't an entry, registration or membership i.e. Tyres, you can sell them in your "shop". Once you have added products you can Enable the online shop which will add a button to a customer's profile screen.

You can also add a some text as the Shop header name which will appear at the top of your shop page.

Invoicing

If you would like to allow users to download any Invoices from the payment screen you can enable that here.

You can also set an Online Payment Reservation duration in days, hours and/or minutes. This is for card payments and sets the amount of time after an online entry invoice is created in which it has to be paid online. After this period the online order will be cancelled. Leave all numbers as 0 to make this time unlimited.

Driver Settings

You can set the default transponder type for your class of racing here.

If a driver must choose an engine and chassis when registering for the first time you can make those mandatory here.

If you want to give extra advice on your race numbering policy this can be added in the Race Number Extra Wording box e.g. seeded numbers are 1 to 10.

You can also enable the Show available numbers slider if you're happy showing the list of available numbers at registration

If you want to allow drivers to be able to change their race number from event to event set the "

Can change race number?" slider to Yes.

Driver championship entry Settings

If you have set up Sub Classes and you want to change the name of the sub class label you can. By default it will be "Sub Class" but you can override this to ask a specific question such as 'do you wish to be a Rookie driver' and then the user can select the 'Rookie' sub class, so long as you have defined it, from the sub class drop down.

You can then add extra wording which will go under the sub class label to explain the reason for the sub class choice, e.g. 'Select Rookie if you wish to be considered as a Rookie driver this season'

If you want to allow drivers to be able to change their sub class after they have registered you can enable this here. If you use the Alpha Timing application to time your events it is not recommend to all people to change sub class once an entry has been made in to a championship table. Please contact the Support Team to discuss your timing before enabling this.

Additional Classes Reg fees

If you charge for championship registrations (which are defined in each championship configuration for the season), then you can set an additional class registration fee here, for those drivers that register for more than one class. Leave this blank to default to the normal class fee, or set it to zero to make it free.

Self Registration for Event Staff

If these sliders are set to "Yes" for Officials, Marshals or Media then any event staff who registers themselves for an event will have their entry automatically confirmed. It is suggested you disable this if you want to verify each staff member.

Entrants Race Teams and Engine Builders

This allows the entrant to select the Team they are racing with. Teams refers to those that provide track side support to individual drivers (typically in karting) and is not a team in the sense of an Endurance event when each person is entering to race for the same "Team".

They can also select which engine builder provided or prepared their race engine.

The Teams or Engine builders available for selection are controlled in the settings menu under Race Teams and Engine Builders.

You can also allow entrants to suggest other Teams or Engine builders by enabling the "Can enter Engine Builder in 'other' text box" slider. If enabled drivers can and must enter name of their Engine Builder in a text box. You can then provide some wording to display beside the 'other' selection for when a user selects 'other'. This is shown as a hint to the user. e.g. Please contact your team to tell them to register with Alpha.
