If a customer tries to book an activity online but their selected date/time or quantities are unavailable, the system will offer alternative dates with availability. If there are no other dates, the system will inform them that there is no availability for their chosen activity. To counter this, you can add some alternative activities as options that the system will offer customers instead.
Click the "Add additional / alternative activity" link in the Activity Format to add an Activity Format or click the trash can icon to remove any existing activities. You can click an activity name to edit it.
When adding a new activity, select one from the dropdown you'd like to offer instead and then tick the Offer as alternative tick box.
If some of the customer categories on the alternative activity do not match the categories on the original activity you will need to select the customer category(s) to use when checking availability. If there are different products and pricing, you will also need to select which product/price to use for each customer category.
Click the Save button to save your selection(s) and return to the Activity Format configuration.
