Equipment Registers define the type of equipment that can be recorded in a competitor's virtual garage and submitted on a digital scrutineering car. To find the Equipment Register settings, click Account in the Settings menu on the left.

Then from the Account settings page, click the Equipment heading at the top. If your account belongs to an Equipment Register, the relevant Equipment Categories will be shown here.

The Equipment Types and their fields are managed by Alpha and can only be updated with new regulations from the respective governing body (i.e. Motorsport UK, Auto Cycle Union etc). However you can add your own special custom files to each equipment type if required. Click on the name of the equipment to load its required fields and then click the "+ New Field" button to add any customer fields.

Select a field type for your custom field, which can be one of the following options:

  • Text - Anything can be entered up to a maximum of 255 characters.
  • Number - A text field where only numbers are allowed. You can set a minimum and maximum number if you wish to ensure that only numbers within the range you specify are accepted (optional)
  • List - A drop-down select box
  • A multi-select list - A series of tick boxes, more than one of which can be selected
  • Radio Buttons - A set of radio buttons, only one of which can be selected
  • Yes/No - A yes or no slider
  • Tick Box - A Single tick box
  • Date - A calendar will open up for the competitor to select a date
  • Year - A drop-down select box containing years

Each field requires a name and an optional explanation to be shown to the competitor. You can also choose whether to make the field required when entering it into their virtual garage (by entry or scrutineering
