Completing your Scrutineering Card

The Alpha system allows competitors to enter their Vehicle and Equipment into an online Virtual Garage. They can then submit these items onto the Alpha Digital Scrutineering Card. Any equipment stored in your virtual garage can be used across all clubs that use Alpha's digital scrutineering.

Virtual Garage

If a club has digital scrutineering you will see a Virtual Garage button (A) for each driver profile on your Alpha account. 

Any items that you add to a scrutineering card will automatically be added to your virtual garage to be used again. You can also add items to this garage in preparation for any events you might be attending.

Each “Governing Body” will have their own Garage, so for example if you race in both MSUK and IKR events you will see an MSUK Garage and an IKR Garage. Depending on what classes you have entered and which governing bodies your club's are registered with will decide which garage(s) you can see.

Event Scrutineering

Once Scrutineering is open you will be able to fill out the scrutineering card. This card can be edited until scrutineering for that event closes. The time at which scrutineering closes is controlled by the event admin and can be set to automatically close at a pre-determined time before the event start.

To access scrutineering for an event, click on the My Events button (B) then click the View Event button on the event you wish to complete your scrutineering card. You may also see this button on the profile home page if it is your next event. 

You will then see a countdown to when Scrutineering will close plus the amount of items required for scrutineering for your entered vehicle. Click on the Enter Vehicle Details button (C) to begin listing your equipment. 

You will see the minimum number of items you have to enter displayed in red. Press the “ + add…” button to add the required equipment for each item. Not all scrutineering items may be listed, e.g. tyres, if your Club uses Tyre Scanners to add them to your Virtual Garage. However if the item is listed here it must be entered before you can sign your Scrutineering Declaration.If you have already added your equipment to your virtual garage you can select the item here by clicking the Select button (D). 

If the item is not in your garage you can add it by clicking the button (E) at the bottom. This will then also save the item in your virtual garage.

You will then be asked to Confirm the details of the equipment and can even give it a nickname so it is easier to identify in your garage.  You cannot edit an item that has been previously entered into an event for this register. If your club requires extra information than required by the governing body, these can be added here (F).

Click Save and Enter (G) to add to the Scrutineering Card. You will then see your scrutineering card. Each piece of Equipment that has been added, will appear under their Equipment category. If any of the details are wrong and needs to be changed you can click the pencil icon to edit it or the trash can icon (H) to remove it and start again. 

Once the minimum number of items have been added to the scrutineering card, the sign button (J) appears. Click this to then sign or accept the Scrutineering declaration. 

Once complete, your scrutineering card will say “DONE” with a green tick. Click the Update Vehicle Details link (K) to make any changes. You will only be able to update the details until scrutineering for the event closes.
