Product categories can be used to organise your products on the Point of Sale and in your Reports.
Click the Add Product Category button to create a new category or click on the name of an existing category to edit it.
You can name that category here and assign it a colour too. You can then set what sequence (or order) it would appear on the Point of Sale and then tick the box if you wish to show these product types on the Point of Sale screen. Only Non-activity based products will appear on the Point of Sale. You can also set the reporting priority of your category here. When a product with multiple categories appears on a report, it will be counted in the category with the lowest priority. Archiving a category does not archive the products within that category, but removes it from being selected when creating a new or editing an existing product. |
