Race Control - communicating via Racehub

Race Control allows you to send notifications direct to your competitors' who have downloaded and are logged into the Alpha Racehub app. 

You can access the Race Control section into two ways. 

• While logged into the system you can click on "Race Control" in the Event Day menu on the left and selecting an event
• While in an Event; clicking on the Race Control Button at the top of the Entry List

On the Race Control dashboard you will see the event name in the top right and two buttons; one to return to the previous page (event selection) and one to go to that Event's page. 

Below this is the option to Compose a new message, plus a list of previously created messages, divided into three folders:

• In Progress - this shows any messages that are being sent or have been previously sent. Clicking on the hamburger button will allow you three further options:
  • Recipients will show you the recipients of the message, if it has been successfully delivered or opened. Those without the app will display the message "no valid registered devices"
  • Done - this will move the message out of the In Progress folder into the Done folder.
  • Trash - this will move the message into the Trash folder
    
• Done - messages that you are no longer working on and moved to the done folder will show here. Done messages cannot be moved back into in progress, only trashed. It is still possible to see the recipients information for messages in the done folder.
• Trash - this shows all your trashed messages, including drafts. If you click on a draft message in the trash folder you can re-start the message and it will move back to the In Progress folder. It is still possible to see the recipients information for messages in the trash folder.

When you click the Compose button you will be given the following recipient options for competitors:

• Individual Competitors - where you will be presented with a list of drivers and can tick which driver to add to the recipient list
• All Competitors - this will add all the competitors entered into the event
• By Class - where you will be presented with a list of classes and can tick which class(es) and all its entered drivers to add to the recipient list
• Not scrutineered - this will add all the competitors entered into the event that have not yet completed their digital scrutineering
• Not signed on - this will add all the competitors entered into the event that have not yet completed signing on
• Not checked-in - this will add all the competitors entered into the event that have not been checked in on the reception page.

When you have made you selections click Save and Close to return to the Message Editor. 

You can add more recipients to the message by clicking the blue (+ , click the pencil icon to edit the recipients list and the trash can to remove a recipients list.

You can then compose your message and when happy, click the Send Message button. 

Any competitor with the app that receives the message will get a notification and counter will appear on the inbox. These will be found in the Events section of the App.
