Validating Items with the Scanner

Once racing is underway, a barcode can be checked any time simply by opening the Verification module, then scanning the barcode.

This will show the status of the barcode, as follows:

If the item has been registered for the current event, the scanner will give a high beep, and the driver’s class, number and name will be displayed.  The number can then be checked against the vehicle to check the correct driver is running the scanned item

If the item has also been used elsewhere the history will be shown at the bottom of the screen

If the item has NOT been registered for the current event, then the scanner will play a low error beep and a red bar will appear on the screen

If the item has been used before, the history will still be displayed
