False Starts

If the green flag has been clicked and the start has been aborted, the false start button can be clicked to signify a false start. This will set all completed laps to formation status, and reset the race clock to zero (there is a configuration option to leave the clock running if required). Click the green flag button again when ready to start the session. As the competitors cross the line to start the session, they will change from red to green on the timing details screen, and be removed from the overdue & missing competitors panel on the overview screen.

Full Course Yellow (or Battenberg Flag)

The  can be used to record full course yellow periods.  Any laps under yellow will be shown on the overview and laps screens as well as on the lap chart report, which will also allow you to identify position changes at each sector line.  When ready to restart, click the Clear yellow flag button.

Red flagging a race

In the case of a red flag, click the red flag button.   This will pause the race time and show the red flag options.  If you want the clock to continue to count down, then click the Keep race timer running button.

  • In the case of a full restart, tick Full Restart and click Apply.
  • If the last lap before the red flag was partially complete, tick Rollback to lap, set the lap number as appropriate and click apply.
  •  If the session is to continue without a rollback, then no action needs to be taken.

The restart order can be printed by clicking the Print restart order button.

To restart the session, click the green flag as the competitors approach the start line under starter’s orders.  If the start is aborted, the false start flag can be clicked as usual, followed by the green flag when ready to restart.

If the session is to be ended, and result taken, simply click the chequered flag button.

If the session is to be re-run later, simply select the next session to run from the session list and click that session’sbutton. The red flagged session can be re-loaded when it is time for it to be re-started by clicking on that session in the session list, and clicking.
