Single and Multi-line displays
Single line and multi-line LED displays can be configured in the Settings menu under Displays. These are different to TV screens and playlists which run via a web browser.

The Alpha Timing App is compatible with several Single Line & Multi-line LED displays. Ensure you find out the correct model type and line number from the Venue.
The display will need to be connected to the Timing PC, often via a USB adapter. Please make sure this has the correct drivers and is shown in the computer's Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT). In the example below the display is using a USB to Serial adapter and has been assigned COM port 5 (COM5). You can then set which COM port to use in the Alpha Timing app's display settings.

The Alpha Timing app can also use any HDMI fed display to display lap counters, timers and results which replace these older LED matrix displays.
