Import Settings

Modified on Mon, 12 Feb at 5:13 PM

The Import settings are used in conjunction with the Club Management system to help create your race weekends. With these settings you can configure the default number of heats, which format template to use for each class (if created), class specific track configurations, session durations and points.

You can set whether to Print the results once issued automatically by ticking the "Auto print" tick box.

You can also set what default format to use for your classes. Heats comes pre-installed on the timing, but still need the grid settings, points and durations configured (see below).

If you need a format other than random heats created (i.e. Timed Qualifying, National Sprint) then please contact the Support team to arrange for templates to be created for you.

If you have different formats, for different classes, you can specify which format to use if not the default. You can also define a different track layout for the class too. For example, the KS UK Class here is using a National Sprint format and using a different track layout (Pembrey National) to the rest of the classes.

If using the Heats format, you must also define the Grid Settings to use for calculating the Final's grids and session duration settings to use by default for each session. Again, classes can have their own specific durations. For example, the Bambino class is doing slightly shorter sessions.

If you have championship tables, you will also need to set the Championship points settings. If you run split grids in any sessions, ensure the "Split by Class" tick box is selected.

If you have a large amount of competitors that you cannot fit into one grid, the timing app can split the class into groups. This is done when you generate the Heats or defined by your format template. For your practices and finals you can define what size grids require a class to be split into groups Practice and any Finals (up to a C final).
