If you do not have corporate karts with fixed transponders you need to use a transponder map. This allows transponders to be attached to the kart for an event, with the kart numbers being temporarily matched to a transponder. If the numbers and transponders are permanently attached to the karts, the transponder map should not be used, and the karts should be configured in the maintenance module.
Setting the transponder map
The transponder map is configured by clicking the button at the top of any race screen. This will bring up a panel with the kart numbers on the left, and the transponder numbers on the right. To set the transponder numbers, simply click in the transponder box next to a kart number and type the transponder number. The Enter and up/down arrow keys can be used to move up and down the list. The list can be changed at any time, and if an entry is changed whilst a race is running, the new mapping will be used immediately by the timing.
New karts can be added by scrolling to the bottom and typing in the kart number in the blank box at the bottom.
Changing a transponder during a live session
In situations where a driver changes kart during a session, and the number plate is transferred to the new kart (but the transponders remain on the karts), simply click the to bring up the change transponder screen.
Type in the kart number and the new transponder number and click to update the mapping.
If this is done whilst the driver is in the pits, then when they cross the line they will automatically continue to count laps as usual. If this is done after the driver has left the pits, then this will merge the unmatched laps for the new transponder together with the competitor’s previous laps.
Changing a kart during a live session
If the transponders and numbers are affixed to the kart for the duration of the event, and a driver needs to change kart, then the new kart number can be assigned to the driver simply by dragging the new kart onto them on the race screen. Alternatively, the kart can be assigned by double clicking the driver/team to bring up the Edit Competitor screen.
Note: this is the only method that can be used when driver names have not been assigned to the karts. In this case, double click on the competitor for the OLD kart which will bring up the edit competitor screen.
In the kart section (highlighted with a yellow rectangle), simply type in the new kart number, and click Apply.
