Connecting to an eFlag

The Alpha Timing System can be connected to an eFlag so that when you issue warnings or penalties to drivers they will be displayed automatically on the eFlag.

The Alpha timing system is compatible with most display panels that run from an HDMI feed. They can be via two options:

• Via an Alpha eFlag controller if installed at the circuit
  
  
• Or via a webpage connected to the timing, running a TV Timing screen and special playlist.

Connecting via an Alpha eFlag Controller

To connect to an Alpha eFlag you will need to know the Alpha eFlag controller's IP address and enter this into the Display Settings of the Timing App (Gear icon > Displays).    To use an eFlag make sure the slider set to Enabled.  The model should be set to Standard.  Enter the IP address of the Alpha eFlag Controller or the PC displaying the eFlag playlist.  You can also choose whether the eFlag automatically displays the last lap board or Chequered flag, the number of milliseconds to show a notification after a driver has passed and the colour of the time (double width displays only).

You can select what type of flags are available by ticking the corresponding boxes on the right. Your eFlag is now ready to be tested and used.
