Entry Pricing and Discounts

Modified on Mon, 16 Sep at 1:34 PM

The entry price for an event can be set per class and can include several different price levels. This article will explain how to create the different price levels and the criteria to achieve the discounted entry price.

At the bottom of the Event Settings page, you will find the pricing options for each class.

To add a new price level, click the blue + Price button. Then select from one of the options in the drop down. By default, you can select a price level for Novices and Members. You can select a specific Membership type or select "RacingMember" to include all memberships that are marked as Racing Members (see the Memberships article for more).

Custom discounts call also be created for you, e.g. a discount for entering both race day and test day or entering multiple classes. To have these created, please contact the Support Team.

Once created for you, this can be set as the criterion for a competitor in the drop down of that price level. Make sure all classes that qualify for this discount have this criterion set. In the below example, when entering just one class, a competitor will pay £65 for the entry. When entering two classes the competitor will pay £120 in total for both entries instead of £130.

When creating a price level where the discount is dependent on entering two events or more, the total entry price for both events must be used in the price level in both the events settings.

For example, if the price for a test day is £40 and the price for race day is £50 and you want to give a £10 discount to those entering both days, you will need to set the price for the "weekend discount" on both events to be £80 i.e. 40 + 50 = 90, -10 = 80.

You can also use two different criterions to create a price level, i.e. if you have a reduced rate for members and a weekend discount, you can add a second criterion in the second dropdown.

For example, the above event has the following price levels:

  •  a non-discounted entry price of £60
  • a discounted entry price for those who hold a 2024 Membership of £55
  • a discounted entry price for those who hold a 2024 Membership and have entered both the test day and race day (Which would be set on both events) of £95
  • a discounted entry price for those who have entered both the test day and race day (Which would be set on both events) of £105

To remove a price level, click the red - Price button.

Once configured, click the blue Update Event button at the bottom of the page to save your settings.
