The Timing app can be connected to external devices and service that use the timing information. The configuration settings for these can be found in the Timing app's display settings.
The following items have their own more detailed support article. Please click on an item to see more information:
These connections can be set to:
- Enabled - always on
- Disabled - not to connect
- Automatic - if the device or service is detected, it is on.
General
The general setting allows you to prematurely update the displays (single, multi-line and eFlag only) if the displays are located close to the timing loop. This is so the leading driver, can see the display clearly before crossing the timing loop.
Live Timing
This will connect the timing app to the Alpha Timing Live Results website. Visit https://results.alphatiming.co.uk/ select a club or series and click the Live Timing button.
Note: Disabling the Live Timing will not prevent results from being published to the Results website. This is configured on the Event Details section of an event in the Timing app.
Race Monitor
The timing app can also be connected to the Race Monitor app. Enter the TCP/IP Port number that Race Monitor is using to send data to the RMonitor protocol.
