The Club Management system isn't just for managing your competitor's event entries, but can also be used to manage your staff for the event.
Officials, Marshals and Media personnel can all register for an event, just like a competitor but without an entry fee using the same entry process. Registered Event Staff are shown in their own section of the Event's entry list.
The settings for event staff are all configured on each event. Click the Edit button when viewing an event and select Event Staff from the menu to edit these settings.
Here you can set which Event Staff entry form to use for this event. You can also choose which roles are allowed to self register i.e. to enter like a competitor. Event staff registration times can be set to differ to the competitors entry time restrictions.
When a staff member or volunteer logs into Alpha, they can change their profile on the home screen to either an Official, Marshall or Media personnel. If any of those roles are available to self register in an event, these will be shown as available to enter. There is also be a specific entry link (different to the Competitor Entry link) for each type of Event Staff in the Officials / Marshals or Media entry lists.
Each staff member that self registers will appear in the entry list or can be entered manually using the blue "+ New Entry" button. If Event staff can self register, they can select their role when registering otherwise you can click on a staff members name to to modify their entry status and assigned duty. After you have made any changes, click the blue Updated button to save and return to the Entry List.
If you didn't want to approve or reject each entry, but have them confirmed automatically, in your Account's Online Settings you have the ability to set certain roles to be approved automatically.
